About HeartLiftGlobal
A mutual-aid network, not a charity. Here is how we think and how we work.
Nobody here is being rescued. Everyone here is organising.
HeartLiftGlobal is a mutual-aid network. We don't parachute in, and we don't decide what a community needs. Female-led collectives in Myanmar already know: they sew the cloth pad kits, cook the student meals, arrange the safe rides. We move money to them quickly and then get out of the way.
- Bodily autonomy
- Periods don't pause for coups. A reusable cloth pad means someone can go to school, to work or into shelter with dignity, with no supply chain to break, no import costs and nothing for the landfill.
- Intersectional equity
- Displacement, gender and poverty stack on top of each other. We fund the people living at those intersections and let them set the priorities, because they are the experts on their own lives.
- Direct action
- No grant cycle, no gala, no layers of overhead. Money goes from your pocket to a collective's hands, and we show you the path it takes.
How we work
- Collectives set the priorities
- They know what their communities need. We do not override that from a thousand miles away.
- We move money, quickly
- Our job is to get your gift to the collectives fast and cheaply, on rails that avoid frozen banks.
- We protect people first
- If a choice is between a better story and someone staying safe, safe wins every time.
